You simply cannot visit Australia without going to one of the many beaches along its coasts. Even if you’re travelling by campervan, there are many beaches where you can spend some time, learn how to surf, or just bask in the sun. Here are five beaches where you’ll find caravan parks while Down Under.

Mooloolaba Beach

Located in Queensland, Mooloolaba Beach is considered one of the best beaches along the Sunshine Coast. It offers white sand and safe swimming for the entire family and there two caravan parks located near the water. The facilities offer powered sites for campervans, laundry facilities, BBQ areas, and amenity buildings. Depending on which park you choose, you can also find facilities for the disabled and places for children to play, when you’re not on the beach.

Eurobodalla National Park

This area is a must-see when you’re in New South Wales. There are two beaches and a riverfront to choose from for fishing, swimming, and other activities. The campground inside of the park doesn’t accept reservations. It is a first-come, first-served situation, so arrive early to get a spot. The town of Moruya is nearby if you need to stock up on supplies during your stay in the area.

Coolum Beach

If you’re a surfer, or wish to be one, then this is the best site for you to visit. Coolum Beach, located in Queensland, is another Suncoast Coast location where you can enjoy the sun and the surf. The campervan park has sites with access to the patrolled surf area, so you can just grab your board and hit the sand early in the morning when the waves are running. After some time on the waves, you can enjoy the rest of the day lounging in the campervan or finding other activities in and around the park.

Apollo Bay Beach

Located just two and a half hours from Melbourne is Apollo Bay, which is on the Great Ocean Road. While staying at this beachside park, you can take day trips to other sites on the road or just lounge in the sun on the beach. The caravan park offers large sites with views of the ocean and, if you get tired of being at the beach, you can take a walk to the Lighthouse. A campervan hire in Australia will allow you to visit these sites in comfort and offers a place to rest after a busy day.
